Community at Grace

No one of us individually believes as much or as well as all of us do communally. The church always believes more and better than any one of its members.

Who Belongs?

This theological insight is a neat way to summarize what it means to be a part of the body of Christ. We need each other in every way to live into our new life in Christ.

And we need each other in every way to continue the work that Jesus began in this world and has passed on to us to continue. We have been given the gift and task of representing Jesus to each other and our neighbors in the power and message of the Gospel - both in words and deeds.

YOU are welcome at Grace Chicago Church. We invite you to join us each week as we gather around the communion table with the expectation that we will be shaped by God’s Spirit into Christ’s image.

We offer community groups where we share life together, and community service opportunities where we perform the good news of the gospel by serving others.

We also host events where we celebrate God’s good creation by enjoying food, drink, and good music; and educational forums where we think together about how to enact God’s justice and peace in this world.

We seek to embody and extend the resurrection life of Jesus in all of the places we inhabit, participating in the good work that God is doing in the world.

Our Community Service Partners

Breakthrough Urban Ministries is our community service partner of 20+ years.

We are also exploring a partnership with Common Pantry, which is located down the street from Grace Church.

If you're unsure about attending a service, and would be more comfortable grabbing coffee with a member of Grace first, head over to the contact us page and send a note. Coffee is on us!
