Hi Breakthrough friends,

We want to reach out to let you know about our upcoming Volunteer Night.  We have changed up the "Behind the Scenes Tour" in the last year or so and have created a "Volunteer Night" where people can come, complete the whole application on-site, hear from our leadership team, and enjoy dinner with us. We are reaching out to you to see if you would be willing to come and invite a friend (or many) who might be interested in volunteering at Breakthrough to Volunteer Night. 

We have lots of Spring and Summer volunteer opportunities and we need your help to engage new people in volunteerism at Breakthrough. Also, if you haven't volunteered with us recently we would love for you to consider reengaging. We are hoping this Volunteer Night will be our best yet!

Volunteer Night is Tuesday, April 25th from 6:30-8pm at the Breakthrough Family Plex. We hope you can join us and invite others to come learn about how they can be a part of making Breakthrough's mission in East Garfield Park a reality.

Each month we serve a meal at Breakthrough Urban Ministry's women's shelter. It's a great event! Email caleb@gracechicago.com if you're able to help out!

We will be providing dinner for Breakthrough Urban Ministry's permanent supportive housing residents. Breakthrough helps 40+ people find and stay in housing. This group gathers quarterly to socialize, receive updates, etc. We get to provide the food for the event. If you'd like to participate in this meal, contact Caleb (caleb@gracechicago.com). 

Every third Thursday of the month, Grace Chicago serves dinner for the women in Breakthrough Urban Ministry's women's shelter. It's a great volunteer opportunity. We prepare food for an hour, serve, and then eat with the women who stay in the shelter. It's a really lovely experience. 

Joins us on Thursday night at 6:45 to cook a meal for the women's shelter at Breakthrough Urban Ministry. This is a great time of fellowship and service! No experience necessary! Contact Nathan Bowman if you are able to help out! (nathandbowman@gmail.com).

On Friday, December 9th we will be throwing a Christmas party for residents of Breakthrough Urban Ministries. Breakthrough helps around 40 individuals find permanent housing in the Garfield Park neighborhood. Those individuals are often isolated and without family for the holidays. We have the honor of throwing them their Christmas Party!

We will be hosting the party at Green Tomato Cafe. Help is needed with set up, serving, and tear down. Contact Caleb or Sarah Lesch (sarahelesch@gmail.com) to volunteer or for more information.
